This unassuming little camera really packs a punch - so much so that I've decided to make it my daily carry. I'm talking about the long forgotten about Fujifilm X10; a small but mighty compact camera that's perfectly designed for street photography.

I'm a faithful X30 user and I love the versatility and quality of this line. The X30 shoots RAW + JPG with no problem in processing performance.

Couldn’t agree more….I got my excellent condition X10 about 18 months ago for £200. Easy to use and delivers great results.

I made picture book of my first trip to Rome with this camera. The picture colors, the image quality, the handiness and the retro looks made it my "go-too travel baby" for more than a decade. Last summer the lens got stuck, could not retract! I am still pondering weather to repaired for $ 400, 00 or purchase another for the same price. I've since purchased the Leica D-Lux 8 but my Fujifilm X10 is still missed!

The X10 was my first mirrorless camera. What a joy to use! But yesh it's kinda slow for what I liked to do at the time of its hype, which was shoot friendly gatherings in not so bright evening indoor settings. I sold it and now I miss it. I'm now with a more capable but less joyful partner, the Lumix LX100II. It's like leaving your childhood friend for a financially stable future. Haha.

I really wanted to get the x30. Then i saw that it now goes for $500 used. Noped tf out and am now looking for an x-e2 instead.

I have an X100s. Bought it used about 6 or 7 years ago. I love it. Goes most places with me. The fixed focal length is both a drawback (obviously less focal lengths) and a boon (less focal lengths so you use your feet or make the best of the focal length as it is).
My main camera is a Nikon but I really love the Fuji interface. The knob for exposure is just a joy to use.

I've been interested in the X series since the first announcement but already having cameras I didn't buy and kept dreaming of an XPro. I bought the X20 to try the system and just loved it. I then, convinced by Fuji, bought xt2, xpro3, xt4. I still have the x20 in perfect condition and still love it, it's a compact camera yet so capable and sexy!!!

Used Fuji prices are INSANE right now. I recently paid WAY too much for a used XE2s but I gave up on prices returning to anything reasonable and I really wanted it for daily carry. I would definitely buy an X10 for 100 to 150 USD... perhaps prices will eventually return to sane levels.

I absolutely loved my X10. I bought it new and after using the LUMIX LX3 for years before, the X10 was a joy to use. Sometimes I found it a bit frustrating because of its speed, the IQ was not good but to be honest that was probably my fault and not the camera. So I added a Sony RX100 m2 to my pocket which produced better images but was not so nice to use.. it’s more like a mobile, but it’s so small I use it as a back up when I travel light.

Then on the journey of small cameras I added a Fuji X100F that is amazing and I still use, a Richoh GR2 that I absolutely loved but has now worn out and awaiting me to rebuild, as it very temperamental, but I can forgive this when it works as it is a monochrome monster and then decided to make the jump to a Leica Q which is another level and deserves the hype.

Then got back into film and DSLR with the best lenses I could find used.

Anyhoo,

Last weekend I saw a X10 in a shop secondhand and was amazed at the price. Thought I need to dig mine out.

Luckily I have kept all my cameras on my journey, so the X10 and LX3 will be coming back into use again this weekend to have fun capturing images.

Great channel, I have subscribed 🥳

the x10 was the start of my Fuji journey and I still miss it. I got a Xpro 2 thinking it was somehow the next version just because they look similar. I love my XP2, but I have fond memories of the x10 - especially since it is a good pocket camera.

Good video. 👍🏼 I bought a new X10 a year or two after it was introduced. Not long afterward my wife got one, also. Great little camera, my first Fuji. Subsequently got an X-T10 and an X70, and my X10 got less use. I decided to sell one of the X10s and put the proceeds toward an X100F, figuring hey, we have a spare. We did some traveling and each time paid a neighborhood kid to come in and feed the pets while we were gone. One day I got an itch to shoot with my little X10…and as most readers have guessed by now, it was gone. So was our dog sitter. It’s doubly depressing, because not only did we lose a camera that held sentimental as well as tangible value, but also we’d known this guy since he was little and trusted him. I’m hoping, and have pretty much convinced myself, that he brought buddies or a girlfriend over to hang out while we were on the road and one of them palmed the camera without his knowledge. Regardless, the moral here is if you find a camera you like, keep an eye on it. And don’t hold your breath waiting for used Fujifilm prices to go down.

I have the X30, bought it new and it is a wonderful little camera which produces good qualities images and is probably worth more now than I paid for it. I also have an X100T which is another great camera which I bought new at a great price and again is worth more now than I paid for it. Why Fuji discontinued the X30 and never developed a successor is a mystery to me. The build quality of these little cameras is superb, far better than most compact cameras available now. I own a Panasonic TZ200 which is a great camera capable of high quality images with a zoom range from 24 to 360mm and a 1” sensor, its build quality isn’t as good as the Fuji’s though.

I've had mine for about a decade and I love it. I paid a couple of hundred dollars for it used at that time. Now, here in Canada, they're running at $450-$700, which is crazy. Still, it's simply so much pure FUN to shoot.

x10 is a fun little camera, I've not used mine enough to get the best out of it yet.... But I do like it!

I owned one from its very first year of made. And I wish Fuji could bring out same type of camera with apc c sensor size !!!

I bought an X30. It works without any noticeable lag and has an EVF (not optical) viewfinder. I have multiple full frame and aps-c bodies but the camera I most use is my X30. Did I say that it is a wonderful camera ? 🙃

I'm not sure what you mean by "no heads up display". The X10 shows exposure information and focus confirmation in the eye level viewfinder. I can understand though that you may think it doesn't if like mine the information has (I believe) become quite a bit paler and more difficult to read over time.

I can’t see the prices changing unless film gets cheaper, which I don’t think it ever will. Fujifilm digital cameras have been the most recommended alternative to film and the flood of videos on even the XE1 recently have nudged up those prices too. A friend was recently able to swap his GFX 100S for a Leica M240 and 28mm lens because the Fujifilm medium format cameras have also gone up.
The genuinely forgotten cameras are the Panasonic G6 and Sony NEX 6. The G6 has some surprisingly clean shadows in jpeg and a beautiful grip. The tight lines in its plastic construction make it feel like moulded wood. Very sharp displays and great ergos. Solid battery life too. NEX 6 has excellent AF and superb EVF for its time. USB charging makes it a bit more suited travel. Both can be had for less than £200.
