My son had epilepsy seizures. His last seizure was so bad he literally died in my arms. I called on my ancestors I cried out to them at first I was frustrated then I calmed myself, I meditated I closed my eyes. I blocked out my husband screaming, my other two children crying, my family was in tears. I simply asked my ancestors to help my son lead him back to us. Several hours later the doctor came in said your son started back breathing this never happened. He looked at me like he saw a ghost, he was really spooked. I ran into the room, my son opened his eyes and said "Grandma". My mom been dead since I was 11 my kids never met her. When my son died he said he saw her then she lead him back to his body. I asked him about what did he see I was so eager to know. He said he saw Grandma and she said she love us. She took his hand and he said told him it's not his time to join them follow her because I needed him. I literally froze and since then I speak out to our ancestors. When I fasten from foods, tv, phone I speak. This also released me from depression my son use to have seizures out of nowhere from school to home. I lost my job at the time due to his sickness. My husband and I had many problems at first now my family is closer than ever thanks to our ancestors. My Mom listened to me this happened 7 years ago but just to know she was there I can't explain how much that meant to me.

As an Afro indigenous person ( Congo Nigerian Benin and Taino Arawak ) I find it so interesting the similarities in this song and other Native American and Caribbean songs to our ancestors. We share many commonalities that white colonizers beat out of us. We need to take the planet back and restore peace

I was sitting outside I listened to this song while closing my eyes and started praying to our ancestors for protection especially with all the bad things happening to black people and prayed for blessing and after that I got good news from the college I want to go to that I’ve received scholarship

Drs wanted me to have a CSection. My mom told me to surrender my body. I closed my eyes and meditated I seen my ancestors both African and Native American dancing around me and the fire with drums, singing, praising.
