World's First Robot Hotel, Welcome To Japan's Henn-na

On July 17th, the first robot-staffed hotel, Henn-na, opened in Sasebo, Japan. The managers say the use of robots to reduce operating costs is the way of the future. AJ+ went to take a look.

What happens if a guest is choking? How is a robot going to save them?

To the people saying: "They gonna take our jobs!". It was the same argument said during the industrial revolution. Do you know what is going to happen? The same as it happened back then. Machine will replace men in low complexity jobs while creating high complexity ones. Those machines will require men to design, create, assemble, maintain and repair them. This trend will probably continue until the day men develops a true AI at human intellect level, then it is a whole another story.

No offense.. But I appreciate technology just like the next person, but in my humble opinion, this just seems kinda creepy... I know its the direction were heading into, but I just don't care for the idea of the "I Robot " population roaming around like stray dogs... My biggest concern is, if its a machine, it can be hacked and controlled... Correct???? I'm probably not making any sense, but then again, what actually does these days...
