I love this song and it hit home. This was something that I NEEDED to hear. There was ALOT of abuse growing up and I was the one it was all directed to and it followed me into my early adulthood with my now ex husbands. God has healed me tremendously in the last 5 years. A horrible tragedy befell me 22 years ago which led me to seek some relief. I was young and had no idea the relief I was seeking would lead me into a hell pit deeper than the one I was in. That relief became my crutch that worked for about 10 years. I became an accidental addict as all addicts do. For years I have prayed and dreamed of the day I would be free; to experience what it really means to enjoy life and fly again. My wings got clipped a long time ago and I fell hard.
Dear Younger Me, walk into that doctor's office tomorrow and tell him what you've been dreaming of for years but did not have the courage to do. Say "I'm tired. Enough of this. Thank you, but no more. I want to live again, fly again. I want to SOAR. I am no longer the grief stricken young woman who came here 22 years ago. No matter how much it hurts to get off this stuff, it hurts worse being on it. I am ready."
With God's help I now have the will and the courage and I WILL be victorious. He knows my pain and has healed me already. (Thank you Lord for hearing my prayers all these years and all my life.) I thank my brother for sharing this song with me.

Brother Bart, this is Reverend Glen Horn, I have heard about your relationship with your Daddy, I am glad to know that your dad has received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. Praise God. This temporary separation will only bless you when you see him waiting for you when you get to Glory. What a glorious reunion that will be. You are a fine, fine young man for making it through that trauma growing up. Allow that test to continue to be a testimony in your life to other hurting sons without dads in their life. God loves you more than you could imagine Bart. You are a blessing everywhere you go dude. Many fans and listeners love you so much for your ministry to their hurting souls.
