Crazy Horses was one of the coolest songs of the time. I remember being among a group of teenage boys doing the Crazy Horse dance to the tune. The Osmonds are often remembered as wholesome and middle of the road, but they rocked!

I can't believe at 68yo, I JUST heard this song for the 1st time two days ago! I had my ear glued to a radio or record player back then (still do) and am just so shocked that this just showed up now too! Great friggin song!!

My sister was a HUGE Osmond fan. HUGE. Had the albums, had the 45's, had a stack of magazines 4 feet high, etc etc. as a little brother, I KNEW, the Osmonds were just not cool (for boys), but, if I could get away with it (and, rest assured, I did!), I'd play that song over, and over and over, and over. So, it wan't just Ozzy, it was me too. ANd, my mom enjoyed it more and more over time.

I'm in the middle of recording a metal version of this song, and for my version of the "horse winny" sounds, I recorded a bunch of harmonic strikes on the guitar and shook the whammy bar like crazy after each strike, then just interlaced them at appropriate times throughout the song.
Definitely a great rock song coming from a very unexpected place. The Osmonds of all people!
