Horizon FD87 Motoryacht [Walkthrough]

The Horizon FD87 Skyline features one of the largest volume yachts under 100' ever built. Designed by Cor D. Rover her newly designed hull provides a minimal draft, excellent fuel efficiency, and very little drag. Her huge volume can be felt everywhere, including her Salon, Skyliunge, and in all 5 of her Staterooms.

She features an enclosed upper bridge, a step forward from Horizon's standard raised-pilothouse design. The ability to go yachting anywhere, either in air-conditioned comfort or with the heat on full blast, was at the heart of this design.

The enclosed space also serves as a second saloon, with a bar and three stools, long lounge to starboard, and a chair and desk on the port side to catch up on emails or chart your next course. Behind this area is a wide exterior deck, with great views and a large hot tub.

Horizon's FD87's expansive 23'3'' beam can really be seen in her spacious on-deck Master Stateroom, which is highlighted by massive windows, lots of space and a skylight feature that provides even more light and additional headroom.

With 4 additional guest staterooms and 2 crew cabins below deck, there is plenty of room to invite a healthy group of friends and family.

A newly popular design for the U.S. market, the FD87 Skyline also features a spacious beach club and swim platform aft, which provides a perfect spot for relaxing or enjoying toys on the water.

I did the commercial for this model, cruising out to luichi island of off Kaohsiung Taiwan. The smoothness of the ride was amazing and the first thing I noticed was the craftsmanship in this thing, even Ferrari would be jealous! Definitely one of the most solidly and luxurious boats under 100ft!!

I can't get over the size of the Cockpit. With that 100 ft + Beach Club size, you would never anticipate such a Cockpit and it's not like they robbed from the Salon to accomplish it. They've seemingly or magically stretched this beyond it's specifications. And it's just all good, no bad, or even compromises. The interior wood / colors are the real deal imo. I do not appreciate those high gloss finishes of many modern designs, sure it's amazing however steam engines were too at one time. Both chosen interior materials and colors pass either for lap of luxury or, comfy cosy family feel. You can often hear "attention to detail" being used in a description of yacht finishes, to me that's almost a given. What this yacht has is full attention during design to details which matter so that the yacht's critical area's are maximized for space, function and feel. Wonderfully done, probably already sold.

Of the 2 million walk through vids of various boats I've seen.. FD87 is the hands down winner. He left out that it has a central vacuum system, and the radar platform can be folded back (may be an option) for bridge clearance. It has a 3, 000 NM range.. Let me say that again... 3, 000 NM range! Registered at 24 meters, you can owner op this boat, as it has all the usual docking stations and remote. The Bow thruster is hydraulic. Later models changed the master suite so that the TV is center of the bed, and two entrances on either side of the en suite. Similar to a Sirena 88 in style, but far better layout. FD87 has a real full size galley, while the Sirena has something out of a pick up truck camper. The pilot house/helm in the FD87 rivals that of the Nordhavn types, and again, belittles the seriously wanting Sirena 88 version (it's so hideous). The model line up is impressive, from 75 all the way to 125, and the repulsive (to me) fly bridge variants. You can order your haul in other colors if you wish. A USA company, and made in Taiwan.
