Okay but can we appreciate that she doesn't make the #1 top made mistake in a horror movie: Stabbing the killer once and not making sure they're dead. And she remains calm and SURVIVES because she's not insanely stupid.

Edit: Yall.. Not killing the killer when you have the chance is stupid. Whether or not you're panicking ITS STUPID. Along with that I'm not saying if you're not calm you're stupid. Erin is supposed to survive, because they need a witness to testify that crazed killers massacred most of the family. (That's why they kill the neighbours, to make it look like insane random killers did this.) Once Erin accidentally hears the plan, then I can understand why they try to kill her. However, before that, it seems like they try to kill her a number of times - especially when one of the masked guys swings an axe directly at her head. She can't be a witness for them if they kill her!
