Raw Food For Cats: The Best Way To Feed Them

This video shows how I am feeding my cats raw. In this video, I am feeding them balanced diets made by Fetching Foods with a bit of Primal freeze-dried pork on top - and for Charlie, a minnow from Fresh is Best. And I use an Etekcity scale to weigh out the 2 ounces I give each of them.

I’d substitute organic bone broth for the water. You can find it without spices and Native has a good one for animals. Thanks for sharing!

Is this with the vitamins added already I'm wanting to switch but I'm confused about how to make it a balanced meal also is that why you feed the freeze dried as well like does it have enough vitamins for a balanced diet? I know this video is old but just going thru some of them. I recently went from canned to freeze dried raw (Steve's and Smallbatch) and then tried Smallbatch frozen raw sliders in rabbit. They love them. Their favorite is Evermore gently cooked food. Smallbatch is coming out with a gently cooked food also. 3 of our 5 cats eat the smallbatch sliders and the Evermore (4 meals a day) and the other 2 - 15 yr olds love their canned Weruva. I am very excited to feed the cats the raw and gently cooked. I am a vegetarian and would have trouble making the cat food myself but this is an easy way for them to have healthier food. Love your little minnow on the top. I tried those and I think our cats were afraid of them. LOL

My 16 year old cat was sick. Lost so much weight I could feel his bones. He was not interested in eating packet cat food full of grains and with chicken flavour. Not chicken note. He even gave up eating treats. I feared he had kidney disease. Changed his diet to raw meat. He also gets grated cheese. Now he is demanding meat up to five times a day, is gaining weight and even found his meow and trills today. Tried to give him sardines. Wouldn’t eat them. He will eat tuna canned in water or oil, but only laps up the liquid. Leaves the fish meat. This is human tuna. So the other two cats are now on raw meat, including chuck steak which they have to chew. Less and less interest in packet cat wet food and dry food remains untouched too. I will add some bone broth powder tomorrow to see if they eat that as well.

On most scales you can put your bowl or plater and then zero out the bowl/plate, then get an accurate measurement. But I’ll try this for my new kitty meow meow!

This is great, the raw food is amazing
The only thing id change is putting their food onto a plate instead of a bowl

A bowl is unnatural and uncomfortable for them as it can cause whisker stress and intense odour due to the shape

I have a diabetic cat and the prescription food is sooo expensive and not the best. How do you determine the correct amount of minerals and vitamins? He can't have carbs so an all animal products diet be great
