I'm Peter Hicks, and I've worked at MIT for 47 years

With over four decades of dedicated service to the Institute, Peter Hicks has the longest tenure within the Department of Facilities. This Labor Day we honor him, and all those who work hard each day to keep MIT running.

The MIT YouTube channel features videos about all types of MIT research, including the robot cheetah, LIGO, gravitational waves, mathematics, and bombardier beetles, as well as videos on origami, time capsules, and other aspects of life and culture on the MIT campus. Our goal is to open the doors of MIT and bring the Institute to the world through video.

Very honorable! So many people who overlook this kind of work, big universities are oftentimes full of these arrogant "rich kids" who happen to have the brains and in particular money.
Call the janitors, cleaners (etc.) what you want, or spit on how easy their job is, but someone's gotta do it and without those people this world would not function the way it does.
