My parents have a plug-in hybrid, and it has a built-in and non-removable lock that locks the charger in once you lock the doors. Don't know why Tesla's don't just have that.

Had a friend who would had it happen a lot and one time just watched from a distance only to find it this old lady who come out of a nearby shop unplug as many as she could and then go back into the shop. He did this on a different day this time going into the shop to find out the lady worked there and he watched them once again leave go to them and unplug them
