I have read the first two Toshikazu Kawaguchi's Before the Coffee Gets Cold and am about to savour Before Your Memory Fades. They are the most wonderfully moving reads I've ever come across. I totally agree they are absolutely unique. I love that they made your list of living up to the hype!

It annoys me that 'Young Mungo' almost (but not quite) rhymes. He should have called it;
'Go, Young Mungo, Go!'
Or
'A Glasgow Young Mungo'
