Hothouse flowers live at the Astoria London as broadcast September 2nd 1988. There were many bands on this broadcast, most of which I did not want, so I recorded the full show, then edited it onto Betamax L750, Scotch EG+ tape archive 277 digital 4011

Hothouse flowers. The year the sky turned black with bottles at the Reading Festival. 1988 was the worst line-up and the fans knew it by showing their appreciation of bottles of piss thrown towards Hothouse flowers, Meat Loaf and Bonnie Tyler . The Mean Fiddler took over the festival in 1989 from the marquee. And it was considerably better . The Marquee had kept their eye off the ball of the changing music scene.
