One important point Sharan. When some legend like him is in front of you, its very important to let him finish and then take a pause and resume. Its the problem with intelligent people, that they listen half make it full. I also had this. But conversations with legend is always one sided. Once the flow is coming from space of sharing if interrupted they will share little. It is not important to complete all questions, even if you make in Art of negotiating people will appreciate much more. You can also make multi part podcast.

The U.S. offers such a unique ecosystem for entrepreneurs. The venture capital scene, the tech culture, and access to resources are way better than what we see in many parts of the world, including India. Don’t you think that’s why so many founders move their businesses to the U.S.?

This guy is absolutely blunt! Not a people pleaser

This Hotmail guy has my heart now.
Not only did he give me my first email but his philosophies and the way he evolved in the US is just amazing. He is a true representation of the best of both worlds. Whereas sharans interaction was purely transactional, as he wanted a recipe to make more money. He could’ve asked better questions and kept this longer as an interview.

I am totally with him. Freedom to think leads to innovation and that’s US. And I never experienced racism in US too, you got to be honest and true and people in America respect you

First interviewee, I've heard, who answered questions to the point, instead of going off tangent.

Very good interview. Sabeer was sensation in 90s with the Hotmail deal. Btw, I am a dedicated user of Hotmail since mid 90s. Sabeer spoke his mind and offered excellent advice. Follow your passion and specialize. Thanks Sharan for the show.

India vs USA is not a fair comparison..when 80 crore folks in India are siill depending on free food grains 'creative' thinking takes a backseat..lets compare ourself with say a Brazil or South Africa
