Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 introduced an insane amount of broken super powers yet the community hasn't given the same amount of backlash as Season 3 wrecked. Should players that hated Season 3 also hate Absolute Doom, or is this season more balanced then its predecessor?

Major difference between season 3 and 4 is that I'm not pouring magazines into an armored vehicle circling the map at 70 mph, turns out the SPEED was the real issue. The current powers are also about the power level of the explosives we had in Chapter 1 (grenade Launcher, Quad Launcher, cluster grenades)

As someone who really doesn’t like wrecked, and by far prefers OG, I was pleasantly surprised by this season, I don’t care much for the mythics, but combatting them is so much easier than combatting cars so I find it much more playable

Last season there were fucking magneto gloves that did 95 damage and there was nothing to counter them with, now you can just throw a shield buble and you're safe and this season none of the mythics deal 95 damage every 0.5 seconds (zero build opinion)

I find that the mythic weapons are akin to ultra turbo building fanatics who make the world trade centre in nanoseconds if they hear anything that resembles a footstep, or is outright shot at.

Difference between last season and this season. At launch, Season 3 felt straight-up unfair. Car vs car was fun, but car vs player, the player is screwed. They had no counters, and you take a thing that's so easy to control, make it super strong, and give it an arsenal + nitro. You were screwed, what do you even do? This season's launch was fair. The Marvel items are strong, but they're balanced and easy to counter. I feel like everyone was expecting this; I mean, with the superpowers and abilities of Marvel characters, you'd expect them to be decently strong and quite different from regular guns. One of my biggest issues with wrecked was how the bosses nearly guaranteed a win. Broken medallion, mythic, and overpowered car. Here, the 3 best items “shield jetpack arsenal” can be found without killing a bods, and it feels like you have a chance at winning and have a choice to drop at more than 3 pois.

This Season is AMAZING. Last Season was ALSO AMAZING before all of the nerfs.
After the nerfs, last season was SO BORING. I nearly quit because the cars were SO BAD.

It's kind of obvious why it's a little better man, the items in the last season were very broken and the new meta was very unfair and bad. It wasn't fun at all to die instantly by cars and broken items, it's annoying. I didn't like last season, I was fed up with dying to cars and stupid items that don't require any skill, I was fed up with seeing my skills being denied because of strong items. Last season was horrible, this current one at least you don't get run over and die instantly, and you don't have to deal with "nitro jumps" and unbearable cars, I'd much rather deal with the Captain America shield. 😂

I'm definitely enjoying this current season a lot more vs the previous, I'm actually comfortable with certain guns and don't gotta worry about 3 cars just randomly pulling up with guns attached n killing me instantly, that being said when I do get in a car I just keeping using my boost over and over only to realize I'm already out of gas cause I still think it's last season 😅

Your feelings about the new shotgun resonated with me so much because I have the same feeling!
One time I was surprised I won a fight because it felt like a second shot didn't pop off and yet the other guy was eliminated.

Bro it’s not just cars which made the season bad, the nitro gloves are way worse than the jetpack, prepatch nitro was obnoxious, and the medallion powers made endgame impossible bc you’d be fighting thanos. None of this season (except the port-a-mech) makes fights feel one-sided and unfair in the same way as s3
