I think this looks a very handy item to have...cutting straight can drive.me.nuts! On another note, I am very disappointed in some of the rude comments by crafters...I expect more from our community.

I'm absolutely disgusted by some of the comments below. If you don't want it, don't buy it. But for those of you, like me, who HAVE purchased this item and who love it, I have a suggestion that makes using it even easier. I line everything up as shown, but I only cut the length of the sentiment plus an inch or so on either end. I leave the rest attached all the way to the edge. That way the paper doesn't slip when making your second cut. Then after I've finished the second cut, I simply snip both ends. Chances are, you're not going to need it that long anyway. And she didn't add a metal edge because there wouldn't be room for it and still be able to see to line up with those little narrow lines. Maybe not a product for everyone, but for me it's great! By the way, the larger one is a great tool for cutting those real narrow mats that you sometimes want to use on the front of a card.

I don't get it. I'm don't see why I would want to buy this. I can do all these with a simple ruler. Oh course it probably over price too.
