Making BIG GAME PCP 4000 PSI Valve and Tank

In this video I'll be making a valve and a connector for a manometer and a fill nipple for a stainless PCP tank, the maximum pressure is 4000 PSI, but to ensure safety I recommend 3500 PSI. Keep following this series of videos and you'll see the finished version soon, it will be really powerful in just 4,5mm. I am expecting around 1100-1200 fps minimum using a 15.4 grain slug.

Internal diameter 23mm.
11.5x11.5x3, 14=415 mm2 (4, 15cm2)
1 bar=10N/cm2
4000psi = 276 bar.
So… you hold back 276x 10x 4, 15 N =11454 N with a couple of little screws. Reckon with only one; they don’t bear equally and when the first snaps, then the second may well go too.
Mind that the screw itself M6 has a core surface of 2.38 x 2.38 x3.14 mm =17, 8mm2.
If the quality is 8.8, the tensile strength is 800 N per mm2, starting to yield at 80% or 640N.
For a shearing load as the screw experiences here, we take 80% of that value. We are then left at 512N/mm2 x17.8 mm2 or a load of 9113N at which the screw will probably fail.
With 11454N … you are a lucky bastard.
And please, dont grease O rings on a cloth full of chips.

If possible, the valve shaft must use a thread to enter the Tevlon. Prone to breaking often hit by a hammer.

When you use the centre drill bit and go to a bigger drill bit
use the 3 points on the chuck instead of using one
it will line the bit more accurate when drilling that's why there is 3 points to tighten it accurately
