I like The PTL Call buttons 6 means call the elevator that has level 6. The interior has MT buttons and chime

There's a set of 2 elevators at Clinton Hospital (Clinton, MA) that has the same thing, but a "3" button. As mentioned in other comments, it's there to call the elevator that can go to 3. In your case, the "6" was shut off.

I agree with you Andrew that's an interesting mod and that indicator is just like the one at Nordstrom Oak Park Mall Schindler RT traction elevators

Old video but nice elevator. The 6 floor might be a storage floor and if you use a key or something you can get the elevator that goes to 6. There's a building at the University of MA where if your on the top floor and push up it will only send the freight because that's the only elevator that goes to the attic but it's construction only.

Wow, 2012 was quite sometime ago, and a period that was cathartic for the elevator community. It saw such a boom during that period, and it was as though my YouTube feed was almost rife with elevator videography. This Westie isn't too shabby, but it's a bit drab for my tastes.
