My daughter and I danced a mother - daughter dance to this special song for the both of us. She had been very, very ill and there were many days that we "talked" on the phone until she fell asleep and I stayed on the phone just to hear her sleeping. Distance, money, my job (and my horrible NM) made it impossible for me to travel 500 miles to sit by her bed. So we came up with this way for me to "be" with her via the phone. We loved this particular version of "Diamond" and when her father was either unable or unwilling to attend his daughter's wedding, she surprised me by telling me that she wanted a mother daughter dance instead of the traditional father daughter dance. The absolute best memory of my life to celebrate her beautiful wedding and dancing to our favorite song!!! HUGE "Thank You" to Rihanna for this gift🦋!
