Actually corian isn't that cheap. For me Corian solid surface was more expensive than quartz. I had plannec to use Corian solid surface in my kitchen reno as there were many features I like about it but it ended up being more expensive than quartz. I know of other people who have experienced the same. Also, you should know that Corian also has quartz these days therefore, you should distinguish that the material is solid surface. Corian is the brand name. Other brands also carry solid surface not just Corian.
