Legal System in the World | International Business | From A Business Professor

Legal systems vary from country to country, and sometimes within a single country. Although they develop in different ways, legal systems also have some similarities based on historically accepted justice ideals. In this video, I will introduce three major legal systems in the world, namely, common law, civil law, and theocratic law.

So, essentially, civil law is about conflict resolution, basically stating that it ensures conflicts between people and makes sure that those conflicts do not intensify into something more. Without civil law, more giant corporations could take advantage of smaller corporations by not paying for goods or services as agreed upon. At the same time, a renter would have no option if their former landlord just refused to return a security deposit without reason—very informative information.
