ONE TIME I HAD TO REPLACE AN CYLINDER HEAD AND LINER WITH NO LAP RING TOOL AVAILABLE!
TO CURE THIS I TURNED THE HEAD UPSIDE DOWN, THEN PUT THE CYLINDER LINER AND LAPPING
COMPOUND ON THE HEAD THEN LAPPED IT IN !
IT DID SEAL OK !!👍👍

Do you know an easy place where I can obtain alco 539T parts and service manuals?
I've heard there was also a welded block variant called the 540T.
I haven't been able to find so much as a picture of the 540T so I don't know what they even looked like.
If you have any pictures of a 540T or so much as information on it I'd greatly appreciate it.
