Let's not get crazy. I like her tips but seriously it's ok to use a dash of oat milk in your coffee as part of a balanced diet. The anxiety and inflammation from stressing about every item that passes your lips will cause more damage than a glucose spike here and there. Sure, eat veggies, move more, don't eat too much sugar and processed foods but don't worry about a bit of oat milk in your coffee, surely that's not the issue..?

Agreed oats wheats ar all hi carbs.
Add milk cream or heavy creams. Its less tha 1g . No spike at all. Im a diabetic & i know. Im no metformin for 3 years++.

Ordinary cows milk is lactose which is also a form of sugar. If you are having a latte or cappuccino frequently it may be an issue but a dash of milk to a cup of coffee isn't that big a deal

I really appreciate how she simplifies things, which is really easy to listen to

Oatly actually breaks up the starches with amylases. So in oatly there is no more starch, just longer dextrines, glucose and maltose.

Cow milk is also loaded with sugar and causes a blood sugar spike. However, whatever you put in your coffee, the amount is so small as to be almost negligible. Unless you're getting one of those fancy designer coffees with syrups and sugars and foams and what-nots, you should be fine. And even then, unless you are very ill, treat yourself once in a while. Who are all these people playing Life on hardcore? Stop stressing and enjoy whatever you want.

I’ve never loved a subtle French accent that much in my life 😍

I would not agree. You would literally have to drink at least 200 ml of that oat milk to see any difference on your blood sugar levels. Do not generalize so easily.

Oats contain beta glucan which has numerous health benefits including lowering cholesterol and blood sugar.
