LEGO has a HUGE Deadpool Problem...

So with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine in theatres just last week. Everyone is talking about the two characters, Deadpool in particular, and how we haven't gotten a LEGO minifigure of him in over 6 years, and no regular Deadpool in 12. Has LEGO forgotten Deadpool exists, surely not. Maybe the real answer, is that LEGO just really doesn't want to make the figure. Why exactly? Well, I cover all the possibilities in this video!

They released the Punisher, Carnage, and Joker ... those guys make Deadpool look like a choirboy...

Deadpool has to be in a new avengers movie because we have to know why Thor is crying

It’s not that long ago they made a Lego Punisher figure, and one could argue that he is way more violent and R-rated

Easiest solution for the lack of X-Men Characters: mechs, random vehicles and such.
Even though Deadpool is infamous for being R-rated, including him in spin-offs, 18+ lineups, or similar products is the best bet for more obscure characters like our beloved Marvel Jesus

4:55 I'd like to add to this point here. Sticking with Marvel Lego has made sets based on Ghost Rider who is the literal devil's bounty hunter and Wolverine who's catchphrase, "I'm the best there is at what I do. And what I do isn't very nice.", is literally referring to Logan being a killer and him being used as weapon. Yet somehow these 2 characters are somehow more kid friendly than Deadpool?

I do want to note that Deadpool wasn’t anywhere near as much of an R-rated character before his solo film came out, which is probably why Lego was fine with including him in the chopper showdown in the first place.

As I have said many times before, Lego are just babies with double standards when it comes to R-rated material. Their 18+ sets are just an unnecessary marketing gimic, and they should make 18+ sets based on adult licenses. Just remove the references to blatant adult themes if you really think it’ll damage the brand. They’ll put Blade and Punisher in an expensive set, and then not put them in the store displays for the set because they’re “too adult.” They’ll make a set based on Stranger Things that includes a piece that is intended to be blood, they’ll release comicon figures based on adult stuff, and they’ll release a figure based on an R-rated show in the Marvel minifigure series (to be fair, though, I don’t think they knew Echo was gonna be rated R), but won’t make a lot of fans happy by just making the sets based on adult properties be the 18+ sets and lower the sets that don’t need that rating to 16+, even though it is completely possible to make sets based off those properties that do not include adult content. Seriously, Lego are babies with double standards when it comes to this stuff.

I actually recently purchased the Lego Deadpool and Wolverine from that set together for just under $100. Deadpool is missing a gun and a sword. Everything else is pretty much perfect.

They made Echo which is from a 18+ show. LEGO has just never been consistent with their policies. They made a JAWS set. They just don't want any backlash.

They have entire line of 18+ sets yet they don’t use it to introduce gory themes and characters

Disney's California Adventure now has Deadpool and Wolverine ( albeit toned down ) at Avengers Campus. They even replaced Deadpool's guns in the holsters for chimichangas. So If they could make a version of Deadpool that is family friendly. I guess Lego could as well ? Or just go with the 18+ line.

The fact that Lego has now made minifigs of punisher and blade but still have not made a new Deadpool minifig after a decade is crazy serious is it so hard to just make another set with Deadpool that’s not based on the movies like it could just be a comic book based set or even a mech people would just be happy to get another Deadpool fig that’s not a comic con exclusive

It’s ironic there’s a readily available punisher minifigure in a LEGO set who is a notoriously even more gruesome and vial character than Deadpool has ever been. But I think their excuse was that it was included in an 18+ set. Same reasoning for why daredevil was in that set too I think. So if we ever get a new Deadpool it’d probably have to be in an 18+ set. But also I think I heard Disney is denying LEGO deadpool and not completely LEGO themselves. Idk it could be a combination of the two.

It’s crazy too. Fortnite Lego collab introduced Lego Wolverine but NOT LEGO DEADPOOL like how fucking PETTTY ARE THEY FORTNITE IS A SHOOTING GAME. Why is LEGO even collaborating with them

im really hoping they throw deadpool into more mcu movies now just so lego has no excuse to look the other way.

Guys, don't forget that Lego owns Bricklink and gets a small percentage from any order. A 100$+ Minifigure being sold there isn't the worst of things for them

I think they'll add him if he's in the next season of xmen 97 but its an educated wish

If Lego made another deadpool figure they will probably release it in a £300+ set for adult collectors.

Like they did with the punisher.

I was literally just thinking to myself how Lego will probably never touch Deadpool as a standard figure again lol

It doesn't fit the topic at the moment but I hope there will be fantastic four sets next year and if there will be any I have an idea for Mr Fantastic. They could use the arm piece from the first MS Marvel minifigure or use the long avatar legs and arms Because then it looks like he's just using his powers

You forgot to mention that there was a lego wolverine mech
