Trust me the FM9 does NOT sound any different than the FM3 or AX3. I own an AX3, FM3, and just received my FM9 so I have real world experience comparing all the units thru high end FRFR cabs and studio monitors. The FM9 is a killer product, period!

I felt a bit disappointed for getting the FM3 just few months ago...when now the FM9 suddenly appeared.
But listening to this comparison...
Maybe the second amp/cab is too much to handle for a floor unit..? Is the sound resolution kept at the highest level as AxeFx III (two blocks) and FM3 (one block)...?

By my ear the FM9 sounds different on every patch. The FM3 is closest to the AE III. If i were making a purchasing decision based on this video, The FM9 would be last on my list. This is solely based on tone as it sounded like a wet blanket was put over it compared to the others. (IMHO). Still great sounding units and I love all of mine. Thanks for sharing!
