Driverless DLR train hurtles along with doors wide open

A video has emerged of a driverless #train in #London zooming along the tracks with one of its doors wide open.

It shows a Docklands Light Railway (DLR) train proceeding towards #Bank station in the centre of the capital at what appears to be full speed to the alarm of passengers on board.

The twelve-second clip was posted by John Nicoll, 36, a theatrical stage manager who lives in Greenwich.

It's faster, just have the AI slow down announce the station, and tell all riders getting off to stand up line up, and get ready to jump.

Same thing just happened with the new Sydney Metro where a manual door override was activated causing the door to stay open while the train was flying along at 100km/h with the doors stuck open

Yawn. Even if this were a train which had a conductor present, what could they do? Stand in that area and say "the doors are stuck open, don't jump out"?

You'd hope that would just be obvious to people! 🙄
