Anybody who catches ocean monsters catfish or Bass uses a baitcasting reel or they're working their way up to their first baitcasting reel. If you do not use a self retracting flywheel or a baitcaster or preferably both we have nothing to talk about. Unless you're into those large narrow spool flywheels. Personally a caved-in and purchased a children's kite spool and then purchased porcelain ball bearings for it. Yes my flyreel is lighter than yours and looks really Chansey, but I 3D printed a fiber carbon nylon spool and reel frame. Then I use an exacto knife to clean it up sandpaper to balance it. The beautiful thing is it didn't take me long to learn that I could draw the rod back get the line in the air and then cool spinning just before my line went tight while I was casting. So all-in-all basically I can cast completely across the Willamette with a homemade real, I just got to be ready to stop the bird's nest before it happens. But I've got the magnets and I'm in the process of building a second real frame that will hold the magnets and give me a magnetic break. Now I've just got to get that nickel-plated ferrite washer to get stuck in my 3D printers carbon fiber nylon spool and the only thing my Sly real will be missing is a clock spring for Rapid retrieval. The truth of the matter is I'm a blacksmith by trade but an inventor by heart. Necessity was the middle name of female Who Bore me it had to have been. Because if I didn't make it it's not good enough even if I make it out of Children's toys.

No you can pet your magtrax so that when you cast everything is good you can also set your brakes AKA the spindle travel to make up for the weight of what you're castic. Nevertheless at the essence you are absolutely right. Even my completely tricked out black ambassador, will give me fist if I'm casting into the wind or have not reset the brakes because I just changed the weight on the end of the line. Because the wind will always stop the line, and usually just after you think you finally got it figured out otherwise known as as soon as you get complacent.

10 bearing system nice you have a speed real you need to put porcelain bearings into that thing. Take it slow with your first set of porcelain daring it will be just like you have never used a baitcaster before. The answer is sneak up on it and feather.
Literally you can have a 30 lb braided line on there and it will act just like it's a 10 lb braided line. We're talkin a spool that is slicker than wet kelp on polished Jade. Yeah you would really be amazed at how little friction you can actually have on your spool. Just by changing out your bearings.

Appreciate all the terminology but waving the reels around so much cant really get a good look at them makes it difficult to comprend as a true novice
Also would be better if they were closer to the camera
