Unless I missed the birth of a new puppy during Poldark..I have to say ..that its the only drama where an amazing dog named Garrick obviously has eternal life ..
He entered Poldark from season one before Jeffrey Charles was born ...and he's still bouncing happily around even when Jeffrey Charles became a man ..

I hope Morwenna catches a break this series. I know obviously it's not gonna happy and jolly all throughout the season. But out of everyone I'd say Morwenna has had the worst time so hopefully she has more joyous moments this series.

Oh lord, watched the 1 st 4 seasons of Poldark and enjoyed every minute of it, the adaptation was much more watchable than the one I saw as a kid in the 70s, I felt the author was secretly asking very pertinent questions about relationships and love in general. For example, does or can love transcend class, is money the root of all evil, were the aristocracy born to rule like they thought or were they just full of moral failings like the rest of us. Can a person be in love with 2 people at the same time, all questions that are as relevant today as in those Georgian times. Then series 5 come along and is totally different, more to do with the abolition of slavery and deep political issues of the day. They should have left it to the romantic and family feuds of the 4 previous seasons in Cornwall between the Poldarks and Warleggans which we were all entranced and captivated by. Eye candy Elizabeth killed off too.I realise it was based on a series of books by Winston Graham but they could have worked around it in series 5. Shame.

The BBC have made a big mistake by discontinuing Poldark. I have read that Poldark is getting a full length feature film according to the Poldark series producer Karen Thrussel.
