Your talk is a beautiful way to understand a complex topic. I have a difficult time reading and then understanding. But when you explain these topics almost mathematically, your style helps me understand unlike reading a textbook.

Strict - Suspect Class: Race, religion, national origin, show compelling reason
Rational - No suspect or quasi suspect class, legitimate reason
Intermediate - Quasi suspect, Important reason

Recovering drug abuser are part of a protected class under the Rehabilitation act, so it should be strict; correct?

So basically what you’re saying is with this New York concealed carry case that just went to the Supreme Court… it involves the fundamental right under the Second Amendment therefore it is going to be strict scrutiny and the state of New York has a very high burden to prove they have a compelling reason to treat permits relating to firearms differently.

Ok Im sorry but your example used to explain the difference in Scrutiny is not very good. Heres why, the question of Drug use may indeed be applicable to any or all the classes. What if part of a religious tradition included the use of the Drug, or what if the national orgin used a Drug to deal with some genetic alteration needed to survive. What if the enforcement against the Drug use was not equally being applied to people of a particular race. These are only some issues with your example and I didnt even point out that your analysis completely fails to consider that drug usage can be considered a 9th Amendment Unenumerated Right so maybe you should use a better example next time.
