I think Mona’s idea with Vanilla 28 was that it is for layering, so it’s simplicity is the boon there. I pair it pretty much with almost everything and it adds an added oomph I find. I tend to get more compliments when I’ve got it as a base or a topper, even when the other perfume is still projecting! Definitely worth trying it paired with something.

I love Vanilla 28. It layers with everything. I think it’s a perfect vanilla because it’s sweet with a little spice. It doesn’t need to be super complex to be a good scent, it’s good because it’s a beautiful vanilla. I can’t tell you how many bottles I’ve bought of it since it’s release.

I actually love Intense Cafe.. and Roses Vanille. I get so many compliments with the dry down. The longevity is great

What you feel about Kayali Vanilla, I feel the same about YSL Libre. It lacks depth and character for a perfume that's supposed to be luxury. It's described as smelling 'money' only by influencers who aren't actually rich. 😂 The first time I smelled it, it smelled like lemons and it smells the same on the skin. I'm glad I bought the sample size.

Vanilla Sex by Tom Ford smells like plastic to me. I can’t understand why it’s so popular but I do love Kayali 28 for layering

I agree on Montal. It's extremely synthetic. I dont get the coffee at all. But here's the interesting part. I always get compliments from strangers if I can get myself to wear it!

I find most Montale fragrances way too synthetic and cheap smelling (including Intense Cafe). Their performance is generally very strong though!

Agree with all those except Montale...I love that fragrance, although the coffee in it lasts a whole couple of seconds on me and I'm simply left with a strong rose...

I actually dislike most vanilla perfumes EXCEPT for Vanilla 28! I love the boozy background and it smells more expensive than it is.
