'The Main Road,' JURASSIC PARK illustrated scene

This isn't my usual kind of video; it's really long and not as flashy, but this is a project I always wanted to do; Story/sequence Illustrations. Despite being simple sketches, it's harder than it looks! 80 plus sketches of conceptualizing and timing consumed 4 days of hard work. haha As much as I love this scene from the movie, JURASSIC PARK. I also want to see what could've been with the novel's version of it. IF you have time, GIVE IT A WATCH and tell me what you think!

This scene hits even harder once you realize *spoiler*
Hammond only invited the kids to try to convince Gennaro that the park was fun and safe

bro, a little girl who is crying when she's scared, to then going DEAD silent from fear when she realized what was happening is such a good way to write escalation with terror.

Spielberg did an incredible job of making Jurassic Park more accessible to a wider audience, but I would love a "remake" that follows the book exactly

The tyrannosaur in the novel is the most hellish thing in Jurassic park history. I remember reading the novel and being terrified. The Rex kicking Alan and throwing Malcom like a rag doll is horrifying

7:10 - “When the Tyrannosaur roared, it was terrifying, a scream from some other world!”

Who else got chills whenever they heard that followed by the roar?

In this version, I kinda like of how Tim is older and braver.

That part where the Rex looked at Tim while gripping the fence should’ve been in the movie. That combined with the water rumbling would’ve been gold

I love how lightning is really the only way Grant and Malcolm can see what’s happening with Tim and Lex.

"And then Tim realized...the Tyrannosaur was holding onto the fence. _The fence wasn't electrified anymore."_

The terror released when you actually read that line after all the buildup of the previous two hundred-plus pages...amazing

The part where rexy roars at grant is one of the best horror drawings of a rex I've seen

What's so beautiful about this is it's both Crichton's writing with the amazing sound desgin of the film.

3:35 that shape was the juvenile T-Rex. The one who killed Ed Regis. A very underrated character they shouldn't have left out of the movies.

The part where the T. rex looked at Tim while holding the fence is terrifying imagine a murder somehow unlocked your door and looked in your window with a crazed smile

The portrayal of Grant standing still as the Rex inspected the car was straight up the stuff of nightmares.

"Novel Lex is horribly annoying" "Novel Lex is more then useless" Novel Lex is *EIGHT YEARS OLD* . Give her a break.

Just imagine, if you will....imagine if Jurassic Park was remade into a series or just another solo adaptation, only this frame by frame of what the book illustrates. I'm talking a hard R-rated horror film. Expressing every amount of sheer terror and thrill from what all these characters go through. Between this beautifully illustrated scene, all the way up to Nedry's gruesome death, I honestly believe it'd leave a large portion of the audience from the original film in utter awe.

Let us be honest here; the people who have either grown up with Jurassic Park from when they were adults or kids back in the 90's, up to today's generation who were introduced to it from Jurassic World....I'll take a wild guess and say that most of them haven't read the book. Absolutely nothing against Spielberg's film (a masterpiece and perhaps one of the greatest films of all-time) but just imagine what THIS film would look like. I think, based on how over-polished and PG-13'd most adaptations are today, and what audiences on a whole are depraved from due to political correctness and forced shock everyone to the CORE if they saw it.

Like I said, just

"That's, that's chaos theory."

Steven Spielberg literally filmed this scene with zero music

Because he knew that the t-Rex would steal the whole scene just from reading the book

That bit where Rexy is looking for Grant, the way she keeps turning back towards Grant's location but then bypassing him makes me think she's going in her mind, "I know you're here. I can smell you, but I can't see you. Where ARE you?".

The scene with the Carnotaur from The Lost World...now THAT needs to be done by you! That is so iconic it pisses me off we never see it in the films.
