You are great at what you do. Your passion is immediately apparent. The content you provided, and especially Canadian content, was fascinating. The news media was not able to keep up with you as far as transit content was concerned.

I guess I really owe you a thank you on behalf of the city of Toronto for documenting our modern transit and the issues it has. Additionally, the content is professionally made, and one of a kind. The topics you brought up made an important conversation that many tend to ignore. I hope you make a return during a safe time and in good mental health.

I loved the demystified videos. Especially the Auckland City Rail Link project, really well summed up. Thought I’d share some positivity.

I've been enjoying your informative and well-made videos for a while. A lot of them have content that is evergreen. I enjoy your videos because you have one of the few channels out there commenting on transit developments across Canada. Apart from the work of advocacy groups, like Transport Action Canada, it's hard to find knowledgeable commentary on the Canadian scene. Don't let the YouTube algorithm grind you down! I think lots of your fans are happy enough just to see a new video now and again. If it's not your day job, there's no need to burn out like Casey Neistat. Thanks and best of luck. 👍

Great to have you back! Something to note - Edmonton has been working on their Smart transit card, and rollout was underway when COVID hit, and wouldn't you know it, an American company was managing install so that stalled out. Otherwise it might have been done for the end of 2020. Who knows now haha

I know the “YouTube burnout” feeling, as we’ve talked about. I’ve tried a lot of things to keep it from happening, but even I have slowed down as of late, even though COVID hasn’t been a factor.

I’ve never really said thank you yet, as someone in a distantly related field (public finance) your demystified and future of series have helped clarify planing goals and the benefits of TOD

I love the videos you make of trains going by with music in the background

Love the videos, but take care of yourself. I’ll be delighted to see content whenever you have the bandwidth to make some! I remember the old photoshop videos:).

Happy you’re back. Even if you’ll be uploading less frequently. I was surprised how some people got really aggressive and condescending in some of the comments; hopefully they’ve moved on. I’m not sure I’ll be following on discord because I’m reducing my screen and social media time (it can be really draining, even more so now with so much remote everything™️) but I love your content and I think I’ll check your website from time to time.

Don’t let the burnout stop you. Find a comfortable pace and focus on what you are passionate about.

I actually got rid of my car during this since I didn't need it to commute to work in Mississauga (NB: my wife has one though, so we are splitting one). So I've been riding transit more. Don't worry about catching COVID on the train. But appreciate your life heating up with the new job. I wouldn't give up on the urban lifestyle just yet even if WFH is a thing. Staying inside until a vaccine doesn't make sense. Stay safe homie!

Seattle Link light rail demystified would be cool. Anyway, stay safe and sane.

Hey I've been meaning to write a suggestion for some time but never got to it. In your transit system reviews you could try and show population densities in the system maps. This can help us understand how many people live within a short distance from the lines, an important factor determining the success of transit. After all, transit is said to work most effectively when it passes through densely populated areas. This can be particularly helpful when describing systems in cities your audience may be unfamiliar with. Of course this won't be easy but its just an idea. I am sad that you won't be making videos as frequently but will be looking forward to each new one you upload. All the best with you new gig!
