Timing is everything in comedy. Malcolm In The Middle understood that. Many other "comedies" either don't understand this, or they just don't get it right

Back in the ‘70s, when my older brother was five years old, our grandfather, on our dad’s side, gave him a diffused grenade. It was rendered not only disarmed but also incapable of being rearmed ever again. After diffusion, grandpa had drilled a hole in one end of it, fused the head and body together, engraved the word “Practice” into it, and painted it bright colors as well as painted the letters in “Practice” bright red.
