When I saw the ending scene, where they held hands when Luca was leaving, I knew it was a love story movie. It felt like that through the whole movie

I adore this movie so much. It may not be tackling huge topics like Soul, but it's still a very necessary movie as showing the power of friendship and how it helps you develop and grow as a child, two boys being very close and vulnerable with each other, the child-like magic of summer, and the queer acceptance allegory. It does a lot, just not super outwardly.

dude this movie is not gay. its just not. and THAT IS VERY SAD. when the trailer came out i was also hoping it would be gay but after a point of time i realised its not and i didnt want to force myself to find an lgbt angle in this movie. It would be better if disney brings an actual gay couple or anything queer instead. Im tired of forcing myself to find lgbt angles in movies which just queerbait people
