I was wiggling and squirming on my dry, warm sofa trying to help you get back in the boat. I caught your link in the reviews at Level 6. Great job on the video that the average paddler can appreciate.

Love the self rescue Mike. You'll be on the water all year now. Nice work!

Thanks for the information . A big question with any dry suit (or other expensive equipment) is how they hold up over time. It would be really useful to see periodic updates about that, and also about how easy any repairs were, what repair-related interactions with the supplier were like, etc. Cheers!

Good to test your gear before it matters most. Awesome kayak equipment.

Thanks Mike. I am considering one of Level Six's drysuits, either Odin or Cronos.

Liked your test Mike. My own former drysuit was crapped (see vid), but got me a new one (Gill pro). Hope to go paddling with it this week and take a testswim, greets from Northern Holland🙂🇱🇺

When I do my test I like to walk in from shore so if there’s a leak I can identify where it is. First get in knee deep, then just over relief zipper, then over main zipper (waist high), then deep enough to test sleeve gaskets. I’m a recreational paddler so don’t need to completely submerge in my semi dry suit.

Hi Mike, you get my like and a subscribe..

I live in Bristol, southwest UK ..

I started canoeing in july 2020, haven't looked back ..

I'm buying a NRS Pivot drysuit this Tuesday 2nd Feb .. going to do a self recovery session end of February....

The more knowledge and safety, the more you can enjoy the waters ...really enjoyed the video..

I'm going to share my experiences on YouTube also..

When we can travel again, ... if you ever want to paddle here in the southwest, then let me know, I live 5 minutes from the Docks, happy to *put you up* at my home, and let's go paddle..

thoughts to you and yours..

Louis-Charles has the same suit and loves it. Maybe you're tall enough but we both have to roll the top of the Delta spray skirt down, so that we're able to hike the skirt up a lot higher under the drysuit tunnel. That way there isn't so much of a puddle on the spray skirt (I kinda wished I'd known that these neo/nylon spay skirts are not so great and gotten a full neoprene one instead)

Scuba dry suits are baggy and are not restrictive either. I know, if I was going to test a yaking drysuit, I think I would've gotten 1/4" neoprene wetsuit booties and a 1/4" neoprene wetsuit hood and some dive gloves. I think they would compliment that dressing in the event that you end up in the drink. Just my .02 cents.

Greetings from northern Minnesota! Great video - thanks for posting!

I followed your link from the Level 6 site as I am considering the same suit. I saw from your review there that you purchased a size XXL. I would likely go with that size as well because I am 6’2”, 250 and have a 53” chest. My question to you: do you find the suit snug at all and if so, where?

Thanks again for the detailed review!

Hi Mike, Can you tell me what gloves you were wearing and did your hands stay pretty warm. I'm looking at getting that drysuit or the Emperor. Any update on how the drysuit faired during Winter. Thanks!
