BMW F20, 1 series, year 2012, without factory display.
10.25" IPS multimedia display, Android

- The car came without factory display
- After instalation, the display took all car information from CAN

# Junsun for BMW Series 1, F20/F21 (2012 - 2017)
# Ips, 10.25", Android 11, 4gb ram/ 64gb storage, wifi, bluetooth, 4g sim card, DSP, Carplay, AndroidAuto, 2xUSB...etc.

It took 2 days for installing because i had some issues with backup camera wich only worked for first time when it was in reverse and after a few minutes it was showing no signal but i figured out finally what was the problem :), also, because the car came without brackets under the dash for fixing the display, i had to invent something wich is not showed in the video :)

I can't find the blueprint wich i made when i installed this unit, because a lots of people asked, i lost it somewhere when i cleand my repair shop but it is very easy to make your own. I just put a piece of paper on the dashboard where the unit will be installed, then draw the outline margins of it with a pen. After doing this i compared it with the display bottom and made the drawings and final measurements (measure 10 times, cut once :) )
As i made my own research, this aftermarket units are slightly different in design from one to another and they do not have the same length, height or width.

Hey! I saw your video about installing a screen in a BMW F22 that originally didn’t have a display. I’m thinking of doing the same. Does this work with any aftermarket screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto? Or do I need a specific kit or any other extra parts besides cutting the hole for the screen? Thanks!

hi, I mounted an android monitor on my 1 series without original monitor but I have a problem. I connect with bluetooth and I only hear the audio of the calls and not the audio of the songs. This also happens with the usb stick. The media on the phone pauses and there is no audio.

I have a problem, I connected the screen to try first and got no sound and then I tried playing music via aux with my phone and it didn't work either. Then I connected the original radio with the wiring in between and the aux worked again, help
