When I started to live in London (1965) until I left (1996) I cannot remember so many rude tourists at Horse Guards.They really ought to close the gates, and not let tourists annoy the guards.They did this at Buckingham Palace in the 1960's, where the guards were removed behind the palace railings;due to being pestered by tourists.Mind you the powers that be do rather ask for trouble, by there being a "Guards Shop" in the forecourt.I don't how the guards tolerate it?

i like how people react like "wow geesh" whenever a guard has to shout. do they not understand they have to put up with enough bullshit on a daily basis as it is? dont antagonize them, pet their horses, try to make them laugh, or be in their way. is it that damn hard to be respectful?!
