Acustica Audio PINK vs IK Multimedia EQ PA Equalizer Shoot Out

Comparing two API 550A inspired equalizer plugins.

Interestingly enough, the EQ PA uses more CPU power than the PINK. About 0.9% vs. 0.6% That may have to do with the oversampling. I *really* wish the screen capture software could capture 96 kHz.

but isn't eq just adding and subtracting gain from certain frequencys? would a stock eq just do the same thing as a go faster striped expensive one?

Thanks for this shootout. I was considering getting Pink 4 since it's on sale, but considering how I end up never using AA plugins that I already have, and the fact that I have Waves API 550a/b and the 2500 comp, as well as IK's EQ PG, Overloud Gem EQ550 and Acustica Audio Pink CM, I'm gonna pass. xD

The levels are different. The EQ Pa is a hotter. It isn’t a fare comparison

I own EQ PA ..I use it in almost every project.

Pink sounds better to me here

you notice some bands sound smoother on one than the other. both are good but one just has a more aggressive sound at times

I prefer the IK MULTIMEDIA.i was expecting more from Pink but the difference is minute
