I salute you Dennis!

Mike the Meter is the best teacher out there, and you absolutely need to join his classroom. 5 years ago, when I started, with a morning reading of 258 (I was on four meds at the time), I began the Dennis Hamburger diet (3 days only Hamburger, no bun). Mike told me that my blood sugar fell 80 points, and Mike has been my teacher ever since. Now my morning blood sugars are 92 to 98, no meds. Thank you, Dennis. Thank you, Mike.

Thank you for all the honest information you give me. My A1C is in normal range for almost a year now. My diet has drastically changed. I’ve lost 80 lbs since I was told I have T2D. I declined meds and opted to reverse it naturally. The doctor was reluctant to help in any way. No useful information was provided from the provider to help me with this. I prayed and asked God for guidance. I looked it up on Google and your channel popped up. I watch your channel and gain new knowledge. I thank God for his Devine intervention and showing me that there is hope. Thank you for your support and education on this topic.

Hi Dennis! Just got the word a week ago that I am diabetic . Bought a meter and boy was I surprised at my numbers before and after each meal. I am motivated! I thank you for your infusion of God’s Word and the encouragement it brings throughout the book. I feel I’m doing my own science experiments but it is fascinating to see what is and isn’t working for me. I am journaling my meals and my numbers. I am also thinking of ways to incorporate my lower carb meals into our family’s meals for the sake of my family. Just discovered your channel today. Thank you for posting encouraging words on this video. Looking forward to seeing others in the future.

I feared your brain had blown a gasket but then I remembered the advice I have heard you say before: Keep eating as you usually do but test to see how the food affects you. Knowledge of how an apple affects your blood sugar is a far more powerful motivator than fear and it is motivation that will last. I think that is brilliant. Wonderful!

I am prediabetic and I wanted to eat better and cleaner. so I strarted taking my blood sugar 4 to 6 times a day at the key points after meals in the morning evening, etc. I noticed what it did was it made me more disciplined in my diet as I did not want to see high numbers. psychologically it kept me honest, where before it was just hoping for the best. I dreaded seeing a number out of range to the point where I could start saying no to things that were very tempting, especially during the holidays. Seeing actual Data in front of you can be very motivating.

The deceiving data for me when I started monitoring my blood sugar level (about 10-years ago) after my meals was that I was testing 2-two hours after each meal as recommended by my doctor. So, the sugar level was 125, not that high, not bad. I was not aware the sugar level was already on the down side. One week, I decided to test myself 30-mins, 45-mins, 1-hour, 1-1/2-hours after each meal, then I was able to see the huge very short duration spikes to 160, 180, 200, and 220+. That was week was a revelation to me. After that, I took it seriously to cut out all carbs. In the last 3-three years, I have managed to be in A1c 5's club oscilating between 5.7 to 5.4. My goal this year is to start entering into A1c high 4's. I know I can do it.

I told someone yesterday that the first step to getting off the vegan diet he was using for diabetes is learn from you (Dennis Pollock) how to use a glucometer; and I gave him a few links from Beat Diabetes! I was 24 hours too early to give him this video.

This is very, very good advice! I did this for several months at the beginning of my journey. As of 2024, I am 17 years off of diabetes meds! I was on Metformin as well as Humulin and Humalog. 17 years in, my A1C runs 4.9-5.2. It CAN be done, but carbs have GOT to be ❤🎉

Great advice! I took your advice, Mike hasn’t lied once to me since. I’m watching my A1c finally hit 6.0. I still have lots of work to do, but success is its own motivator. Thank you Dennis, you are an amazing teacher.

Yes Ty. I basically did this when I saw your videos years ago and showed my dr my results from my charts that I did. THIS WORKS! Thank you for these videos because also when things happen in your life that gets you off track, by you posting new videos makes you want to get back on track. Thank you again. ❤

Fast food or processed foods always raise my sugar high . Even if they don’t seem like they have a lot of carbs or sugar.
