Vinegar- soak orange/lemon rinds 2 weeks in vinegar, drain. Add 1/4 c vinegar solution and fill with water in spray bottle. Love it for countertops, bathroom, general cleaning ☀️

Last year I bought 64 ounce laundry detergent for $.69 at a local surplus store- I purchased the last 5 bottles which for a single person lasts around 2 years.
Dish detergent also used for cleaning for a year . I purchased several large size bottles @ Dollar Tree during a 10% off sale last summer.
I usually stock up 2-3 months worth of cat food [ 135 pound of litter, 40 pounds of dry and over 100 cans of wet food for 3 cats ] but right now I only have 18 lbs dry & 72 cans of canned food and 70 pounds litter.
Personal care items bath soap, toothpaste, deodorant, first aid products and so on. I keep 12 months supply of these which were purchased on sale or over time so the overall cost was low.
My tip Buy on sale and buy quantities for several months, use coupons, sales, buy clearance.
Great Video thanks for posting this list.

White flour, sugar, yeast, baking soda, cream of tartar, AC Vinegar, white vinegar, plastic tubs (price will rise with the rise in oil) buckets, cook books (old ones are the best), Cocoa, evaporated milk, fats and oils, a bread maker is handy, wheat berries (a good coffee mill can be used to grind your grains. Good to have a hand mill also) For a family it is easy to grind your grain as you need it. Save your bacon fat and clean it to use for baking. Shelf stable milk will last a long time. I mix 1 qt s s whole milk with 1 qt dry milk. playing cards, books, games, (you may not have your computer). Sewing supplies. Learn to can. Learn to cook. Learn to sew. Freeze dries meats. Bouillon, dry gravy mix, dry soup mix, tomato powder, rags, . Out door solar lights work indoor. Keep them in your window to charge. Hope this helps someone. DO NOT DEPEND ON THE GOVERNMENT!!!! Look into what you can get for protection.

I'd say the carpooling suggestion is the best of all 15 suggestions you made. After my friend complained about the sky-high cost of gasoline, I suggested we start consolidating our excursions to town. His wife and mine both went shopping together last week. He & I went to Wal-Mart two weeks ago. So, instead of each of us making that 78 mile round trip journey to Wal-Mart, going together saved us half the gasoline it would require. Subscribed.

Something that will really help is DO NOT BE ASHAMED TO BUY USED! Go to tag sales thrift shops etc. Find recreational activities near home.

From a British perspective your last point is the FIRST point., Deep in our culture even among those of us who don’t personally literally remember it is the shortages of the Second World War. They started in 1939 and didn’t fully end until the mid 1950s. Twenty plus years. The government became incredibly draconian about even small things like cheese and bread(bakers could only sell day old bread; grocers could only source 2 kinds of cheese..all other cheese production stopped…this was about having a standard cheese that everyone liked and which could be cut fairly into the minuscule size your week ration book allowed you) And so on. We learned to rely on our neighbours. And gardening(always a British interest) became part of the home front and community gardens become(and remain) important .So I have lived in the US and one of the big things I notice is that people don’t use the land they have….all these biggish houses surrounded by half an acres of GRASS! As you know…you look like country people…you could just about feed your family the basics on half an acre of intensive gardening including making your own fertiliser by keep chickens. Make your home a place of production not a place of consumption. And to all those people lucky enough to have a big “yard” covered with grass…start learning how to garden…grow food NOW! It takes a while to learn so start learning …huge amount of great advice on YouTube.

Ive been living this way forever. A 189 acre farm, I keep a 50 gallon gas bulk tank plus my 5 gallon jugs full. 2 cars a 4x4 truck, 3 tractors, stocked, locked and loaded. Pigs and chickens, several tanks of propane, a wood stove and almost two years worth wood cut this winter. Im ready besides a long term power outage for my freezer. Great advise for folks out there, I’m almost unfazed by shortages.

Remember all that stimulus money in 2020 and 2021? $700. $1400. Well, this is pay back time. Nothing is free.

I'm from Zimbabwe and I lived through hyperinflation if you truly believe that it's coming to a country you live in buy fuel/generators and anything that's not manufactured in your country otherwise put your money in gold/global ETFs and you will be fine.

My keurig craze days are over. I've started using an electric percolator. Uses a smaller amount of coffee, tastes better and higher output.

Tip....can your own food. My grandmother lived during the depression. I was taught that if it comes down to food confiscation by government they will not take home canned food for fear of poisoning or food poisoning.
