I don't understand what exactly you're referencing, but auto journalists should bite the hand that feeds them. They aren't supposed to make a car commercial just because someone loaned them an SUV for the day.

The only thing that compares to the Mercedes is an LR4? What about the Cherokee that is the same basic platform as the Mercedes? And I would think the Cayenne is similar from experience.
Not saying any is better/worse, aside from price, they all are very 'comparable' from my experience driving them all, with each having minor better/worse aspects.
