From Food Waste to Beautiful Compost (A Clip from 'Ben & bEartha')

A short clip from our new film 'Ben & bEartha' showing Compost Club, a group of passionate volunteers who gather every Saturday morning to build compost together! The food waste is collected from homes and businesses and brought to Compost Club for the community to turn into beautiful living soil.

This is great!! but just wondering if during the winter, you harness the heat they make for heating your homes? or perhaps, you could male a greenhouse over the bins, and have it heated naturally during the winter?

Add brewer's yeast to water with honey. The resulting microbes will turn your compost pile hot for a few days and then accelerate the process of making compost.

Nice idea. But couldn't you make more usw of the food by feeding it to animals first and then composting their manure?
Would create some eatable meat in the end and give the food a better purpuse i think.
