What’s funny about Skip is that he completely blamed the Patriots loss on one single Patriots defender going out in the first half even though Tom Brady’s offense was held to 3 points into the 4th quarter. But 1 year later in the Super Bowl against the Seahawks, the Pats trailed 24-14 halfway through the 4th quarter. Let’s count the significant injuries Seattle suffered throughout Super Bowl 49. Jeremy Lane, a great cover safety, intercepts Tom Brady in the second quarter. On that same play he’s lost for the game with a broken arm. One of our best pass rushers, Cliff Averill, was putting all kinds of pressure on Brady throughout the game until he was knocked out of the game late 3rd quarter with a concussion. Coincidentally, it was on another play that Brady was intercepted. Seattle’s hard hitting safety, Kim Chancellor, who had completely taken away the mid range part of the field through 3 quarters ALSO was lost to an injury late 3rd quarter. Not to mention Richard Sherman (elbow) and Earl Thomas (shoulder) we both playing at only 50%. It’s not a coincidence that NE trailed 24-14 in the 4th quarter and then suddenly the floodgates opened and they put 28 points up…And STILL should have lost if Pete Carroll doesn’t make the worst play call in SPORTS history! But Skip never mentions all those important impactful injuries for Seattle, but he blames this Patriots loss on the injury of one single player even though the Broncos led 26-3 halfway through the 4th quarter. Skip Bayless is so pitiful, it’s actually comical.
