Guys mine already healed, some parts of my tattoo got infected and here's what i did, i washed it 3 times a day with soap and water, and then i always face it to an electric fan to dry my tattoo, and i did not cover it with anything so that it won't moist.

Currently dealing with an self inflicted infection. Nothing wrong with the artist or aftercare, but for my job I sometimes have to wear rubber boots (excavation/culvert replacement) which was constantly rubbing against 1 part of my new (48 hour old) tattoo for a 12 hour shift. Redness, irritation, a small amount of swelling, and some damaged skin tissue are the result. Wish me luck on the rest of the healing process.

I remember tattooing myself in my early 20s. I'd already done about 3 tattoos on myself with success but the 4th time the colours just weren't taking to my skin and I over worked it (and probably had crappy cheap coloured inks). No joke, about 30 minutes after I finished a indian feather tattoo on my forearm I was sitting down with my parents watching TV and I started feeling the chills. I felt cold, I couldn't stop shaking, it was like I had a bad fever. I ignored it as at the time I didn't know an infection could produce those symptoms. The next morning I woke up and noticed a lot of black and green ink attached to the cling film I had wrapped around my Arm. I took it off and there was this smelly black and green slimy ink stuff where my tattoo was. I realised it was probably infected but didn't want to tell my parents. I had fever symptoms for a day or so and my tattoo just became a daily chore of washing away this black and green discharge with soapy water and anti bacterial spray. I didnt take any meds expect for.basic paracetamol for the pain my arm was in. It was a horrible few days. Eventually the discharge stopped after a week or so of cleaning it several times a day. I was then left with a badly faded greenish tattoo. Luckily I had it covered up a few months later. With a professional tattoo.

Your videos are very comforting when your in a panic about the tattoo situations, it will be cool if you did a video about finding artists and right shops in your area and when to know your getting over charged or ripped off

Skin sensitivity plays a big factor, my tattoos tend to develop heavy scabbing and look atrocious wile they are healing despite meticulous post care, meanwhile I have friends that peal slightly and heal perfectly even after swimming in the ocean the day after a session lol

I have a tat that I have a week ago that is inflamed and irritating from the wrong aftercare (as it contains isopropyl alcohol as unfortunately the other aftercare ointment that worked for me on my tats got discontinued)as the doctor prescribed me and the family member as I thought it worked, but I’ll be going to have it checked out right away just to be safe. I’m hoping it’ll heal real soon and that the redness goes away and that I’ll retouch it in the future. This is very educational. Thanks so much for sharing this vid. It’s a like and thumbs up and you got yourself a new subber.😄👍

About 5 days later and the soreness hasn't let up too much. I can feel the blood rushing to my tattoo and feel it throb for a few seconds. (Top of forearm) The shading in the tattoo is red ink so it's hard to tell if I have a rash or just irritated skin. It's kept moist after pat drying and no discharge but it still feels tight when rotating arm. No other symptoms but certain patches look worse off than the rest of the piece

Hey Mike I really like your videos and the info you have has helped a lot. I am wanting to get a tattoo, still saving up $ and thinking of what design to get, anyway, my question is this, I have allergies, and take medicine ever day to keep it under control, would that have any affect on my tattoo? just curious.

Great videos mate. So my first tattoo after a week has a couple of small red spots on the surrounding edge. Bit sore but not sure if this is an infection. Any thoughts?
Thanks mate

Got a chest tattoo. Sweated profusely during the session because pain etc. 2nd skin fell off at work. Only noticed hrs into the shift. Immediately cleaned and moisturized and kept doing this 5 times a day. Still got an infection. Caught it early. Advice from artist is to use antibacterial ointment and oral antibiotics . Wish me luck.

My tattoo was done three days ago. I clean with antibacterial soap and put a healing ointment on it Dermatologist and my tattoo artist recommended. Every other part of my body my tattoos were fine but the wrist area tattoo is a little pink around the ink and looks a little bubbly mini bubbles. No pus. There is white ink. maybe my wrist is sensitive. I will continue asking my artist. Best is to clean it regularly and if necessary pit a little polysporin antibiotic on it I was told. It itches a bit.
