Very good video about the Signal Corps in the Army. I was in the Signal Corps (Army ) in 1968 - 1970, using AN/MSC-29 field vans.

Want to know what life is really like in the signal corps?

*1SG Screaming:* Holy hell, why is NIPR down AGAIN!? I got $500 on this game and I can't get on ESPN.

*25S:* Solar flares, Top. Solar Flares....

*25S stares at the dipshit 25L that just tripped over a cat5 cable and yanked it out of the switch because he didn't secure it when he ran it*

*25B walks in:* I was only gone for 5 minutes, what did you guys break?

*25B stares at 25L:* Just.... why are you even..?

*25N appears:* Hey guys, can I help?

*Everybody else at the same time:* NO!

25u here and was station with a engineer route clearance company and deployed with them. use your benefits, and get and keep you certificates. There are literally thousands of classes and certification courses you can take while you're in that can be used in the civilian sector once you get out. As he said in the video one of the most important ones being your secret clearance that is required for almost all signal core jobs. I don't remember the specific years( I believe its 10 years) in which they are credible. they can be worth money afterwards. Most company level commo section have only a couple guys a lower enlisted with a sgt. I spent most of my time fixing computers, radio, and electronic warfare equipment, manly if it was powered and people used it regularly, you'll have to fix it. Be ready for email and printer problem, higher ups hate computer problems and will blame you. Lmfao overall signal corp is about maintaining mission readiness and has many, many, many useful skill outside of the military, learn all you can and let the military pay for it all.

My son is looking at a career in the Signal Corps. What would be a good degree to pursue while getting his college degree before being commissioned?

I would think the signal core and engineers work hand in hand. Making WANs and LANs, planning how and where the connections should go etc

Thanks for the insights on Signal, im a 92F in the Reserve going on my 3rd year in ROTC and was considering Signal as one of my top 3 branches besides MI and Cyber.

Which branch out of the 3 do you think is the most physically active generally?

It's not too many 25S Sierra videos, is it more limited than the other 25series MOS's ?

i'm a hiring manager at a large bank. we want signal corp for their experience. six figures is in your future. how does the internet work? networking technology. facebook..uses network. twitter uses network. google, youtube..uses networking. you are trained how to shoot and make money with no large student loans. seems like smart people to me. so the when the shooters can become a cop making 40, 000.00 a year to start..you will start at 75, 000.00 and move up faster. yes. six figures is not far off. hell if it was about money we can start a tech company..oh wait that's closer with an understanding of....well...tech.. anyone can shoot a gun....can they diagnose an I.P. issue when communication is needed with a B1 bomber getting close to it's supposed target..better hope so.

do you have a video on Intel? I'm shipping out in 2 weeks with a 35M MOS and I'm curious about how it works in the Army, what exactly I'll be doing, who I'm likely to be working with (working with Headquarters I assume?) thanks.
