I imported a Makita XPB02 cordless portable bandsaw from the USA to modify, I wasn't able to find any teardown videos so made this while taking enough of the saw apart to reach the electronics.

I will be adding a socket on the side for a remote switch, this will be used when mounted on the bandsaw table I have.

JIS is right, they are well worth getting, a set of Vessel ones off Amazon are cheap (when compared to Wera, at least). Good videos, thanks, I'm shopping around for a portable bandsaw just now and this is currently top of my list so very timely.

One question if I may: I am thinking of buying this bandsaw and was thinking (in my naive mind) if I could remove the 45 angle band rollers in order to convert this bandsaw into a stationary bandsaw for wood. Do you think this has any chance of feasability? Of course, without those rollers the band would be a little less plum under load but I could live with that... What I'm concerned is if there is something awful wrong in my approach that I fail to take into consideration.
