I have been working supporting folk with a sight loss now for 8 years and this is one of the best videos on sighted guiding I have ever seen. Well done.

I've been trying to educate myself on this subject and have seen several videos from a number of sources. This is by far the most useful and instructive video I've found to date. Thank you for being so thorough and clear in your presentation.

Thank you for such a thorough explanation of Human Guide. With pandemic mode in place, we will be sharing your great video in our workplace to help other employees understand this technique when assisting our visually impaired clients. I am an O&M instructor in WV.

I love this video as well, I am also partually sighted adult with low vision and I use a white cane.I have had nice people that have helped me out and they try their best to help guide me when I need help. Some times staff in grocery stores or walmart only say to me it is over there which doesn't doesn't help me out and other staff actually walk by my side and take me to where I have to go and reach items down for me to put in the cart

I truly wish that all nurses and healthcare workers would have the availability to this type of information. Most of my nurses feel like I am very fragile China. I often have a nurse take my arm and pull me in the direction they want me to go and then try to physically back me up to sit down in a chair. Then gently push me until I am in a sitting position. Not cool! Kind ignorance but nevertheless frustrating. It is so very important to have enough self-respect and boldness to firmly but gently show the nurse the proper way to guide.

What if the blind person uses a walker? I was recently in this situation and it was very very tricky.
