Using copper wire to test if I can grow bigger plants

Allegedly the copper pulls electromagnetic energy into the soil (which is supposed to boost the growth), it attracts beneficial insects and enriches the soil ✨ let’s test it out!

So cool girl. I was an electrician if you get to know one in the area. You can get scrap wire cheep or free from a friendly electrician! Yup 3 years in I feel it works

Every piece of copper carries a tiny a amount of voltage which can be tested with a meter. A piece about arm length has about 5-7 mV. Going to experiment a little this summer myself.

Also, im an electrician and i think that peeler trick is perfect.

You can get pure copper wire from Home Depot or Lowe's w/o that extra step with the installation thread...

Oh yea those huge farmers in California's central valley that grow more food than anybody else don't use this because they want smaller yields.

Clockwise or counter?? does it matter?

It was actually studied in Japan that when the ground is stimulated with electricity, mushrooms grow more in that area! Thats why the farmers love the storms.

I feel like this is a similar concept!

Jeez this is brilliant. I'm wiring mine up to the mains as well, really make them grow.

Electro culture is not banned… it also isn’t very scientifically substantiated unfortunately. I hope it you see some real results though. Keep us ipdated

What happens when raining and lightning?? Does it have any effect??

Does it work better if you just put one end of a copper wire into a raised bed, and the other end into the earth?

How is just having it in the soil of a bucket work better?

Serious question, I know nothing about electro culture and am trying to learn.

How tall does your stick need to be to wrap the car around putting the ground

Electroculture is a method of promoting plant growth using electrical fields, magnetic fields, or both. It has been a topic of interest and experimentation for over a century, with some claims suggesting it can enhance plant growth, increase yields, and improve soil fertility.

However, scientific evidence on the efficacy of electroculture is mixed and often inconclusive. While some studies and anecdotal reports suggest positive effects, others have found no significant benefits. The mechanisms by which electroculture might influence plant growth are not well understood, and more rigorous, peer-reviewed research is needed to validate its claims.

In summary, while electroculture is a real practice with some historical and experimental basis, its effectiveness remains scientifically debated and unproven on a large scale.

This doesn't do anything but attract lighting

Lmfao no your “training” the plant to grow up with the sticks same thing as tomato cages and nets with weed plants 😂 keep spewing bullshit though dawg

I imagine that this is a fire hazard during droughts/ dry seasons I love plants but this is a pseudoscience that could potentially cause dangers if it becomes a trend

Why not just buy the right wire in the first place ? Smart to strip wire? Hmm just get the bare wire

Honestly the nonsense that people come up with 😭😭 how on earth did plants grow without copper wire before humans? Did they have their own mines where they extravted the ore and melted it down themselves?
