Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. has a stroke. A stroke happens when there is a lack of blood flow to the brain or bleeding into the brain itself. It’s important to know the signs and symptoms of stroke in order to call for help as soon as possible. Researchers at UCLA Neurology aim to improve the lives of stroke patients by developing individualized therapies and deploying expert emergency response methods.
