I've been producing constantly for about a year or so..and I personally have known the problems that I was having with my music, but I managed to gather a fanbase among my peers despite them. Sometimes it feels like you can never find the knowledge you need. This is the best tutorial I've seen for anything hands down, in my entire life. I wake up every morning at 5 am and work until 12 pm, I love music that much, and this is exactly what I needed. I'm quite familiar with detuning, but it NEVER crossed my mind that my sample was detuned, despite the fact I'm very aware of recording variables, as I've read a book and a lot of material on mixing and mastering. Anywho, thanks man.

Much respect man but I think all beat production especially adding your own instruments into samples comes down to having an ear for it. There`s no denying that

I have an MPD only, which is great for drums and samples but i find it less intuitive for basslines or keys etc, and I also find getting good bass sounds quite difficult as I am not very good with synths ( at the moment i generally use minimmoog plugin ). So when I flip samples, i divide them into 2 channels, and EQ out all lows in one and all highs in the other then add my drums. This obviously limits the creative scope i have as i have to rely on the melody/elements of the original sample

Great tutorials, thanks for all the effort!
Could you please suggest some cheap sound-card? I'm using Korg padKontrol and I'll get a MIDI keyboard in future (USB). My budget is pretty tight ($100-$200 max). Thanks in advance
