TypeScript is one of those things that you really like as your project gets bigger but you won't see the value of it right away on a small hobby project as it may seem like too much boilerplate.

54:35 Because interfaces describe object literals, there is no actual way to perform a type check. However, it would be useful if TypeScript could automatically generate type guard functions. For now, things like user responses are super tedious to check.

Is typescript a higher level language than Julia? I think it would be useful to have do.ething that is based on latex and javascript (I know the later influenced TS) and that accommodates Julia Code and JSON in Excel. I tex reader in word would also be nice, as well as the ability to export .doc from Julia.
